Chrishell’s divorce from actor Justin Hartley was a major plot point in the first season of Selling Sunset. By season five, the show was focusing on her relationship with her boss, Jason Oppenheim, which eventually ended because she wanted children and he didn’t. Chrishell is now dating a nonbinary singer who is younger than her. This is a departure from Chrishell’s typical “guy who might want to have kids with me” type. Chrishell is going to messy queer indie concerts, engaging in PDA, and presumably unconcerned about her biological clock.

The Selling Sunset actress and Australian musician (G Flip) met in October 2021 and have been open about their budding romance since announcing their relationship in early May 2021.
When moderator Tan France asked if she had been seeing anyone special since her breakup with Jason Oppenheim, Stause confirmed she was dating G Flip during the Netflix show’s season 5 reunion.
The real estate agent explained that she met the musician, who identifies as non-binary, when she was asked to be in one of their music videos — an opportunity that the Days of Our Lives alum jumped at because of her love of acting.
Since then, the couple has moved in together, shared PDA-filled photos on social media, and even gotten tattoos of each other.
Stause’s new relationship follows her divorce from her co-star and Oppenheim Group CEO Jason Oppenheim. They made their relationship public in July 2021 and called it quits in December same year.

Chrishell Stause Relationship with Jason Oppenheim
Stause began seeing G Flip after the author of Under Construction divorced Jason Oppenheim in late 2021. Their whirlwind romance was documented in season 5 of the Netflix show, but the couple split when the Oppenheim Group CEO decided he didn’t want children.

“I just felt like this is not the time in my life when I want to have a family. I feel like I f—ked it up. I feel also guilt we were happy and f—ked something up that was really good, and she’s in pain, and I caused that. Chrishell Stause Relationships Before Oppenheim
Stause was previously engaged to Matthew Morrison and married to Justin Hartley before beginning her relationship with Oppenheim. The This Is Us star filed for divorce in November 2019, with their contentious divorce depicted in season 3 of the show, including her claims that he informed her that their marriage was over via text message.
“If that’s really what you wanted, there are better ways to go about [it],” she said on the 2020 season of the show. “I talked to him right after because I assumed it was a joke, but that was the end of the communication.” So, what should I say? What do you think about that? It’s as if I now need to find a place to live. “Now I have to scramble to figure this out.”

Stause has made it clear that she wants a family as she moves forward with G Flip.

“I, you know, had this serious relationship [with Jason], and obviously, I want to have a family, but I’ve also taken some of the pressure off myself in terms of what that looks like. I don’t have to have the child myself — [I’m] open to adoption and other options.” So I’m just enjoying myself right now, having a lot of fun, and dating.”

February 2022
Stause began “liking” G Flip’s Instagram posts, which eagle-eyed fans noticed. They met while she was filming their music video.
“It all started because I was going to be in their video. And it’s all about this tumultuous love story. “I’m from the soaps, and I love acting,” Stause said at the reunion. “And with our current job, I don’t always get to do it.” Of course, at first I said, ‘Yes, let’s do that.'”
March 2022
G Flip’s Los Angeles concerts were praised by the Dancing With the Stars winner.
“I’m sorry it’s over,” she wrote on a March 4 post. “You KILLED IT.”
Still, in March 2022, Stause shared a selfie with G Flip via Instagram.
An eyewitness told US Weekly that the pair were spotted at an Oscars afterparty on March 27. “They both were by themselves at a table and didn’t interact much with others,” the onlooker noted.
April 2022
“Best show. Best song. Great collab,” Stause said in response to a video of G Flip singing “Gay 4 Me.”
May 2022
“I’ve recently spent a lot of time with someone who is very important to me. G Flip is their name. “Because they’re nonbinary, they go by they/them,” Stause revealed at the reunion.
Oppenheim observed his ex gushing about her new partner and noted, “They seem like a badass, for one.” And two, the smile you’ve been wearing for the last few minutes makes me very happy. So I’m happy for you.”
Still, in May 2022, G Flip shared an Instagram photo of Chrishell seemingly tattooing their thigh one day after the Selling Sunset reunion began streaming, confirming their romance. In a shaky script, the ink read, “get me outta here.” “Found my new calling. Might open up a new shop🤣💀😎😜,” the real estate agent joked in the comments section.
Still May 2022…
Responding to fan concern about the new romance, Stause said in an Instagram video, “In this current situation with G… yes, I wish we were in the same stage of our lives and wanted the same things, but that doesn’t diminish the deep connection that we have made. It’s all about the person for me. It all comes down to their heart. I am drawn to masculine energy and am unconcerned about the physical form.”
“With G, they identify as nonbinary,” the former soap opera star added. They truly appear to be a hybrid. They identify as both male and female. Personally, I think it’s a beautiful mix, which is probably why we connected on such a deep level so quickly.”
“I’m the same person you’ve been following this whole time,” she concluded. If this is all confusing to you, I hope you will stick around and keep an open mind. If you don’t, I completely understand. But I’m content, and I hope you all are as well. I’m sending you lots of love.”
“We met last year at Halloween,” G Flip said during an appearance on the “PEOPLE Every Day” podcast, noting their future desires to have children. “We were both with our ex-partners … And then, we obviously separated from our partners, and we just started talking and stuff. We just found a lot of similarities, even though people would think we are from like different corners of the world. We find ourselves so similar sometimes.”

The couple didn’t hide their affection at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, packing on the PDA from their audience seats. As she accepted the award for the best reality star, the Netflix personality exclaimed, “I found out about this nomination before I said anything about my sexuality. I’m not trying to get too deep with you, but the fact that this was voted on after means a lot to me because I wasn’t sure how that would go. Thank you so much, gentlemen. It is much appreciated.”
Stause described her relationship with G Flip to Vogue as “unlocked,” implying that the two have few constraints. “It’s when they have the key to your heart, but there are no rules or regulations, just love and support,” she explained. “Plus, it has something to do with real estate, which is actually quite cute!”
“Just being around G [is] such a mood-lifting experience; if you ever had the pleasure of being in the same room with them, you would quickly see what I mean,” the TV personality said. I love feeling that unending support of simply wanting the other person to be fully themselves.”

G Flip admitted to being hesitant to appear on reality TV with their new love, given Stause’s continued tenure on Selling Sunset.
The Australian native said to Entertainment Tonight, “I never imagined my life being filmed for a reality show. I think I’ll stick to music. I don’t want people to remember me as a reality star rather than a musician because I’ve been playing music my entire life.” That has been my dream since I was nine years old. I always want to be in studios or onstage, playing drums and other instruments. As a result, I don’t think it’s for me.”

G Flip asked their followers for recommendations for tattoo artists in the Los Angeles area, and many pointed to Stause after she inked the musician’s arm. “Thank you everyone for recommending @Chrishell.Stause,” G Flip wrote on Instagram. “Her books are currently closed, and she is concentrating on being ridiculously cute and sexiii.”
September 2022
Stause was accompanied by the “Waste of Space” musician to the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where the reality TV star presented alongside her Selling Sunset co-stars.
September Birthday Celebration
Stause paid tribute to her partner’s 28th birthday on social media. “It’s already September 22nd in Australia, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY G!!!!,” the Netflix star captioned a photo on Instagram.
She went on: “Imagine combining everything you love about an emotionally intelligent secure man and everything you love about a strong loving caring woman to create one magical human. Oh, and it would be cool if they could also be a sexy musical genius with a hilarious Australian accent, because why not?”
The Kentucky native noted that the “universe had EXTRA TIME” on the day the Australia native was born, citing “a million things” she adored about her partner. “[Y]our genuine heart of kindness is my absolute favorite,” Stause added. “I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to celebrate you on a regular basis, but especially today. Happy Birthday, my love! The countdown to our reunion in the same time zone has begun.”
